Metta Meditation 5-week Series
Loving-Kindness, also known as metta, is a meditation practice taught by the Buddha to heal troubled states of mind and to cultivate selfless or altruistic love into one’s baseline attitude. Of all Buddhist meditations, Loving-Kindness has the immediate benefit of uplifting the mind and relieving habituated negative patterns.
Each session of this series includes a guided loving-kindness meditation, a short discussion of one of the elements of loving-kindness, and an opportunity to ask questions. In the summer session, the facilitator introduces new sources and topics not previously discussed in the series.
Please register online or call Joyful Path to express interest. Scholarships and work-trade are available. Priority is given to those signed up for the series, but if you want to drop-in we will accommodate you if space is available.
