Through story and play, this quiet social time will introduce children ages 6 to 12 to important principles like cultivating kindness, practicing ways to self-regulate, and common Buddhist principles. We will practice calming our body with a short mindfulness exercise. Children will have opportunities to explore through arts, crafts, chanting, discussion, meditation, and simple yoga exercises. Hand-on on activities on the life of the Buddha and Buddhist symbols will be offered.
Joyce Lyle, RN and Buddhist meditator, facilitates the group.
This fall/winter group will meet on the following dates:
September 18th
October 2nd and 16th
November 6th and 20th
