One-Day Ordination Emphasizing Compassion, Mindfulness and Purification
Join Joyful Path residents and regulars as we take 24-hour Mahayana Vows with guidance from Domo Geshe Rinpoche. The 24-Hour Mahayana Vows often help to strengthen and deepen your meditation practice. The day can serve as a short retreat or the opportunity for purification and merit-building. Whether you approach the 24-hr vows from a place of spiritual inquiry or one of deepening your commitment to your spiritual path, you will find support and encouragement at Joyful Path.
We will spend the day in contemplation, with mindful attention to all our activities. We’ll have a meal before midday and fast until the next morning. Once you take the vows with supervision, you can then take them on your own.
This event starts at 6:30am Central (5:30 MT, 4:30 PT, 7:30 ET) Saturday and runs until 7:30am Central on Sunday. Please plan to be on retreat.
