SUMMARY:Special Practical Buddhist Wisdom, Losar Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Losar Tashi Delek ! Celebrate Tibetan New Year (Losar) with us at Joyful Path with a special session of Practical Buddhist Wisdom. Local community members are especially encouraged to join us in person, so we can celebrate together after the teaching with food and traditional Losar offerings. We’ll share Tibetan sweets, hang new prayer flags, and make altar offerings of fruits, nuts, butter, and rice, marking the New Year with intention, generosity, and joy.His Holiness the Dalai Lama has said, “Don’t try to use what you learn from Buddhism to be a Buddhist; use it to be a better whatever-you-already-are.” In this series, learn how Buddhist concepts and meditation techniques can improve your life. Whether you are simply interested in gaining more wisdom in your own life path or are an experienced Buddhist meditator, these teachings offer practical advice as you continue on your path.We have a rotating list of teachers from the White Conch Lamas and Lamas in training that lead this session every week including Pema, Dawa Norbu, Thekchen, Gyalmo, and Lama Chonyi. To join this event, please register by purchasing a free or paid ticket. You will be sent an email with a link to the Zoom meeting.
