Special Lovingkindness: Vesak celebration at Chùa Hương Đạo
You may have followed the inspiring Walk for Peace — the 2,300-mile pilgrimage that monks from the Hương Đạo Vipassana Bhavana Center, a Vietnamese-American Theravada temple in Fort Worth, Texas, completed earlier this year, walking from their temple to Washington, D.C. to share a message of peace, mindfulness, and compassion.
Join us for a special lovingkindness gathering where Ngawang Pema will share photos and reflections from her recent visit to this beautiful temple, where she joined the community in celebrating Vesak — the day Theravada Buddhists honor the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana. Open to everyone, whatever your background or practice — a chance to gather in shared lovingkindness.
