Mitzi Forbes (Thekchen)


Mitzi Forbes, Ph.D., RN is an online instructor for Chamberlain College of Nursing. She received a Ph.D. with a major in nursing and a minor in psychology from the University of Arizona in 1998. Dr. Forbes completed certification in Healing Touch in 2001 and Clinical Aromatherapy in 2005. She also studies Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) and has received training in providing services with our ionic foot bath. As a student in the Grand Transitions Hospice Training Program, she volunteers for local hospice. She has published numerous articles as a researcher and as a dharma teacher in both professional and public journals. She has practiced transformative meditation since 2003, and has been a dharma teacher and ordained monastic since 2007.
